This fun, full-day class is an exploration of “expression, outline, form, and color,” where you'll practice the design principles that make any abstract painting successful. Each morning, we’ll experiment with a variety of specific approaches to painting collage papers, then in the afternoon use those papers to express the elements of visual language. In a light-hearted environment of inspiration and discovery, we'll play with juxtaposing and contrasting colors, shapes, textures, pattern, and line. No previous experience is necessary – just a willingness to be childlike and trust the unfoldment. There will be a small materials fee.
